I enjoy my mantle every year with my Willow Tree nativity set and lighted greenery. I appreciate that the people who built the house installed an outlet right over the mantle. Par for the course, I should have taken the picture a little closer, but you get the idea.
I put these buildings in a new place this year. The church was my Grandma Leonards and I bought the house a number of years ago because it resembles our house on the farm. Speaking of which, a young couple recently moved into our old house. It was a great house to raise our family and we wish Jason and Kara our best.
One more day of school and then we will see if the weather will allow us to go to Pratt. In the past twenty nine years, I don't think we have ever missed because of the weather. So that is a pretty good record considering December in Kansas.
Merry Christmas to everyone.
I love the Willow Tree creche! By the way, "Monster" is a great read for my HS nonreaders! So many of them discover that reading isn't half bad after enjoying that book! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWe have missed going to KC a couple of times because of illness but I don't think we have ever missed because of weather. This could be interesting!! Have super day at school!
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed your Christmas decoration "tour". Show us more next year too!! Have a great Christmas. Hope you make it to Pratt.
