Easter 2011

We had a great Easter celebrating at my sister's house in Stafford.  It was an early morning as their church starts at 9am since the Stafford UMC is now a two charge church.  But with no kids to get around, we did it with smiles on our faces, or at least without grumbling.

Then about half way there, we got a call from Abby who was coming from Yates Center with the boyfriend, Derek.  They had a flat tire and couldn't get the tire off.  So Derek's dad got to make the trip from Yates Center to near El Dorado to help.  Needless to say, they didn't make it to church so Abby said it didn't really feel like Easter.  We had a great dinner with spiral ham, cheesy potatoes, asparagus, and a variety of salads as well as Kim's homemade rolls.
Randy, Kim, Jill and Eric.

Brian, Madison, Suzanne, and my brother, Kent.
Derek and Brian are roommates at FarmHouse.
Mom and Dad.

Suzanne's parents and Randy's sister's family were also there, so we had twenty total for dinner.  I love sprial ham!

Happy Birthday, Paige

Happy Birthday, Paige!  This was her sixth birthday which fell the day after Easter I think.  We celebrated with all the family on Easter and also had Abby's baptism that day.  You can kind of see her baptismal cake in the corner.   Little did I know that the highlight was I let Paige decorate her chair for dinner, and it was one of the big ones not a kid's table chair.
Have a great day Paige.  Your first one was a Palm Sunday, and now this is your first one as a mother.  Now you, Neelly, and Grandpa Moore will have birthdays that might fall at Easter.
Love, Mom

Four Generations

My parents and sister came to see Neelly yesterday so we took some four generation pictures.
Four generations of girls.  Might need to try again on that one sometime!

My sister from Stafford came with Mom and Dad so she could meet Neelly and have some cuddling time.

Blake, Tamara, and Braden also showed up and I had not taken a picture of Neelly with Tamara yet.

The new family is getting along well.  She slept as well as you can hope the first night at home.  It is fun to have both a boy and a girl to spoil now.

She's Here!!

We have a granddaughter - Neelly Mae Taddiken - born April 6, 2011 at 6:15 pm.  She weighed 9 lbs. 3 oz. and was 22 inches long.  We got to see her for a little bit last night, so took a couple of pictures but more will follow.  Neelly is a family name as it was my mom's maiden name and Mae was Kyle's mom's name.  It is a perfect name for a beautiful little girl.  Everyone is fine but they haven't had much sleep since Monday night.  I can't wait to go down after school again today.
I am going to spend a lot of time holding and rocking because it goes so quickly.  Can it be just 7 1/2 months ago that this guy was born?  Look how happy he is to have found my computer on the floor!  It just all goes so quickly.

More pictures of Neelly soon.

Spring Break - 4

We were going to stop in Manhattan and pick up Braden for a Friday at Grandma and Grandpa's, but we were so late going through (2am) because of the fire at the fuel tanks for American Airlines in Miami that we didn't stop.  So I met Blake at 8am at Short Stop in Riley and Braden spent all day Friday and overnight with us.  He is getting to be such a busy boy and can sit, roll around, and sit back up.  He has also started to army crawl when he wants to get to things - mostly a cell phone or his mom.  It won't be long before he gets to go outside and help, but for Sat. morning he had to stay in the house with me.

These are the last few days of him being an only grandchild.  Grandchild #2 comes next week!
